Pressure points are the result of weight not being distributed evenly, causing it to concentrate in sensitive areas on your body, putting strain on our joints and surrounding muscles while we sleep… This problem can be further exasperated if you sleep on a poor quality surface.

An effective way to prevent this from happening is with a good quality memory foam mattress available online from many online shops like MemoryFoamWarehouse UK Website.

Considering the amount of time that you spend on your bed, it’s crucial to sleep on a surface that will support your entire body and offer you maximum comfort. Many a time, those who experience a pattern of waking up feeling stiff and sore have their mattress to blame. And while having a traditional spring mattress has never seriously hurt anyone, it can’t transform the way you sleep like a memory foam mattress can, as it will adapt to the exact shape of your body, and not vice versa.

The foams unique ability to conform to your body shape allows it soften around you as you sleep, removing any strain from your pressure points and providing your sensitive areas with an extra level of cushioning. Individuals suffering from back pain also have a lot to gain from these mattresses as they offer full lumbar support and promote the correct spinal alignment.

In addition the foam will work to improve your sleeping patterns overall and reduce the need to toss and turn, for a less interrupted night’s sleep. If however you would like to enjoy all these benefits without any of the hassle of replacing your existing mattress, a memory foam topper can be put on top of your sleeping surface to improve its quality.

Memory foam pillows (see here) are another fantastic addition and are especially good for your head and neck area. Recommended by many medical experts, they can help prevent snoring as well as be used to treat various sleeping disorders such as apnoea.

If you experience constant recurring pain in your muscles and joints, help alleviate your pain with a superior quality mattress from the Memory Foam Warehouse or by searching online for memory foam products today. As one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of memory foam products we have experts on hand to answer any questions you may have on their range of products.

Our website is also packed with information and advice on how to care for your mattress. So search for Memory Foam Warehouse today and sleep better tomorrow!

Even though they have been around for more than 30 years, less than 40% of hospitals and private practices in the United State have implemented on electronic medical records system yet, although most hospitals are rapidly adopting them or at least are in the process of doing so. This is mostly due to the fact that doctors and administrators find the ease of paper record difficult to part with. Installing an electronic system for medical records can nonetheless lead to significant benefits in both cost and efficiency over time. From an administrative perspective, getting rid of the vast acreage of filing cabinets that large medical institutions must keep, as required by law, the seven years worth of records, will free up a great deal of space and labor that can be redirected to more useful purposes.

It takes much less man power to administer an electronic medical records system than it takes to retrieve files from a paper based system, and the speed of sharing the information is greatly improved. It makes a Doctor’s life easier too, because instead of needing to shuffle through dozens (even hundreds) of paper medical histories per day, electronic medical records systems allow doctors to access each patients full history through any portable internet-equipped device. Of course, tablets would be the ideal means of doing so, being easier to read and handle. Without a electronic medical system, medical providers must often incur the cost of mailing copies of the physical records if the patient moves or is being treated for another condition at another hospital. The speed that electronic files can be shared between medical establishments is a great benefit to the patient. Rather than losing precious minutes (or hours) before emergency surgery waiting for medical history to come in, records kept electronically can be transferred within seconds of the request being made, ensuring that a patient will not have to wait due to the limitations of a paper based bureaucracy.

An electronic medical record software, also referred to as EMR, is a database of health information that allows an authorized user to store, retrieve and modify medical records of patients. This is where a person‚ medical history is filed in a simple electronic format. Only authorized medical personnel can have access to the records. This is a good choice for medical practitioners to store and modify medical records in a more convenient manner. Using electronic medical software is an economical way of keeping medical records because it lessens the costs of paper and printing. It can be stored in a one, centralized location. This is one way of keeping medical files organized and is recommended for use for small or large hospitals, local practice and health organizations. There are various features that you can get from an electronic medical record software that can make it more convenient for its users.

Because of this modern technology, e-prescription is also made possible. An e-prescription can be incorporated by a certified electronic medical record software. Because of this, doctors can keep accurate records and it can also speed up business operations. The software-generated prescriptions can be directly e-mailed to patients or can be printed out. The e-prescriptions can also be accessed by pharmacists. These are kept private and are transmitted using a secured, private network. Using EMR can avoid any problems that can arise from paper-based record filing that is prone to human errors. It also saves a lot of physical space because you no longer need several filing cabinets to be stored in your office. Electronic medical records are cheaper to maintain compared to traditional paper based file keeping. It increases productivity, maintains accuracy and speeds up the relay of information to doctors, patients, medical staff and pharmacists.

There are three paths to becoming a registered nurse with the first being a bachelor’s of science degree in nursing, which is offered at universities and colleges. This take about four years to complete. There is the associate degree in nursing that is offered by community and junior colleges and this takes two to three years.

The diploma program takes another three years and is administered in hospitals. Any licensed graduate of any of the three programs listed here will qualify for staff nursing at the entry level position. If this is your goal, keep in mind that some career paths are only open to those with a bachelor’s or master’s degree.

Many studies show that smoking electronic cigarettes is the safer and healthier way to quit smoking because of the way they are designed and the way they are used. However, shopping for an electronic smoking device can be a bit difficult because of the large number of choices that is available in the market. To make the task of choosing a device easier, here are some tips that you can use. 1. Decide whether or not electronic cigarettes are for you. You can do this by looking for information about electronic cigarettes so that you would be able to determine whether or not they can help you with your goals. For instance, if you are planning to eventually quit smoking, check if smoking an electronic cigarette can help you get on the road to achieving that goal.

Knowing more about electronic cigarettes and the different types available can also give you an easier time shopping for the one that best suits your needs. 2. You can also look for reviews and comparison guides of electronic cigarettes online. Many websites offer these and as long as you visit those which are reputable and are able to offer accurate information, you should be able to get the help that you need in going through your options and choosing a device later on. 3. Although you can purchase electronic cigarettes both online and offline, it would be better if you do so online. This is because online vendors are able to offer much cheaper prices compared to the prices offered by mall kiosks and brick-and-mortar stores. Just make sure that you would be buying your electronic cigarettes, your flavoured menthol vaping refills and any other electronic cigarette accessories you need from a reputable online vendor so you can be sure that you would be getting quality products as well as the support and assistance you need in case you need help in using your device or in having your device replaced.

There are so many games on the market today that are meant to give your brain a work-out. People everywhere are purchasing software and high-tech games that have been created to challenge your gray matter. One called the Brain Fitness Program is a software game that was published by researchers who claim it will enhance brain functions. With this one, you wear headphones and use your computer to perform the audio exercises. They say it will help your brain to transfer information in a detailed way from one part of your brain to another.

Another game is said to offer help with short-term memory, hand-eye coordination as well as your reaction time. Nintendo offers games too that include one-hundred Sudoku puzzle and fifteen exercise just for your brain. Mattel also joined in with its hand-held games where you are to complete sequences, solve various math problems and find hidden words. When your brain is working at its optimum level, you will think differently, work differently and probably see the world in a new way. A fit brain that can do all that it was meant to do is worth the time to achieve. What are you waiting for?

Cancer Research UK is the world’s leading independent charity dedicated to cancer research. Cancer Research carries out scientific research to help prevent, diagnose and treat cancer. They have discovered new ways to beat cancer that together have saved hundreds of thousands of lives across the world. Cancer Research’s TV campaigns feature real people – cancer survivors, patients and their loved ones illustrate the impact that Cancer Research UK has had on their lives. They have also featured cancer doctors in the past, whose research is funded by the organisation, to illustrate the progress they are making.

The stories in Cancer Research TV ad illustrate the progress they have made but also highlight that there is still a lot more work to do.

Karen’s Story

Karen’s daughter Eden passed away in 2010 aged just 10, two years after she had been diagnosed with a brain tumour.

Karen and partner Paul were initially worried when Eden started having headaches and vomiting.

“She was such a live wire – always the life and soul of the party,” said Karen. “She loved all types of dance and was involved in lots of different shows. She was never a sickly child, so we were very concerned.”

Karen and Paul took Eden (right) to the GP and hospital before an MRI scan revealed a medulloblastoma, a tumour which can affect movement and coordination. She had surgery to remove the tumour and amazed everyone by being back on her feet within days before starting chemotherapy and radiotherapy. She was doing well and was back dancing and at school, as well as taking part in cancer awareness campaigns.

Her relapse at the start of 2010 was a complete shock to the family. Eden was put on a clinical trial and initial results were promising.

Being saddled with an autoimmune disease sadly seems to sign you up to a lifetime of regular adjustments to your diet and daily activities. Some days it’s all firing right and you feel as if you can handle most anything; then others are so debilitating you can’t even get out of bed. It also seems as if you get a handle on one set of symptoms, only to have new ones take their place. It can be incredibly frustrating – and worse, often seriously depressing. Though each condition has its own set of difficulties, all can hopefully be made better by these simple steps…

As difficult as it sometimes may be, put yourself first. Don’t over-commit to anything, whether it’s a cocktail party you may not feel up to attending or working at a job where stresses are far bigger than your paycheque – stress can trigger any number of debilitating symptoms.

Experiment to see what works. Always work with your physician and/or nutritionist but don’t be afraid to think outside of the box when it comes to finding what works for you and what doesn’t. For instance, omega 3 fish oil is reported to be substantially helpful to some; is it for you? Or maybe you have certain undiagnosed food allergies that will make you feel infinitely better once addressed?

The point is you are unique – as is your medical condition. But just as your health care may require its own path, don’t forget that you aren’t alone with your condition. Not only do you have loved ones in your corner but there are also numerous support groups out there where you can talk, listen, learn and even share your knowledge with others. There can be strength in numbers so find a group that truly understands what you’re dealing with, and together you’ll get through.

Rucksack manufacturers like Osprey, Gelert and Outwell are all reputable names, but the greatest pack in the world is useless if not stocked properly.

There are numerous reasons to pack more than you think you’ll need. First off, the weather can be changeable, so be prepared. Sure, it’s a dream to think of yourself as footloose and fancy free, but if you’ve ever been on a more difficult trek that includes rain and hail, or returning far later than intended then you know that it’s imperative to have a well-stocked pack.

Does your pack include a first aid kit? How about an extra pair of socks and extra batteries for your headlamp? Of course you have plenty of water but what about a good supply of healthy snacks? A compass is also essential, as well as safety matches, a multipurpose tool such as a Leatherman is also very good to keep on hand. And don’t forget the sun cream and insect repellent, as well. Plus be sure to research the surroundings before going out to learn if you’ll need protection such as bear spray or the like. And always tell someone where you’ll be hiking and when you’ve come back out again.

A hiking trip can be a wonderful, soul-nurturing experience, or it can be a trip from hell – the outcome is largely a direct result of how prepared you are.
